Tackling the Facebook algorithm on your Page

Tackling the Facebook algorithm on your Page

Iit is no secret that Facebook's strategy is to make as much money as possible from businesses who run Pages.

Although not all Pages are targeting clients to sell products or services the logic goes like this:

You have a Page means you are targeting some audience. If you want to reach that audience then you have to pay. Facebook is the platform that connects businesses and clients.

The percentage of people who have liked your page and actually read your message (post) is diminishing to the point of almost 0. ( Facebook said it will go to 2%) To make it simple enough if your Page has 10,000 Likes only 200 of them will see your post.

Of course there are various factors that may influence that result.  Businesses and individuals should take into consideration those factors.

First thing to consider is you content. If your content is good enough (that means valuable in the perception of your clients) then it may be shared and Liked by many of you followers. This may boost your reach far beyond the usual.

Frequency is yet another factor. If you followers expect some information to be shared daily by your page then they will come back on their own looking for you posts. If you do not have a systematic approach and plan this will ultimately affect you reach.

Another factor to consider is if you utilize your own resources (ex employees in the company) to carry your messages beyond the algorithm limitations. For example if a business has 10 employees who would all Like and Share the content you post this will increase its reach and visibility.

The above are just a few examples of what can be done to tackle with the algorithm Facebook uses. The obvious way here is to pay and reach your existing audience which may not sound right but it is a fact.
