KOREAN ATHLETE BLIND BUT DELIVERS A LESSON

Another lesson we canlearn from the London Olympics 2012 comes from Korean archer Im Dong-Hyun.Registered as blind Im Dong-Hyun gives not only participates in the Olympicsbut wins a gold medal and sets new records with his team.

In his own words ImDong-Hyun states that he does not wish to get his eyes “fixed”. He does notconsider himself as having a disadvantage and his results are proving justthat!
It is true that ImDong-Hyun does not just manage to compete with the best, He is the Best!
What is it though wecan learn from such an incredible athlete? With no doubt the first lesson weget is the determination one can show in achieving their goals despite of anyshortcomings or setbacks life can throw on you. Im Dong-Hyun did not let his blindness to stand in his way. In a sportthat requires perfect vision he had to train more than anybody else, show moredetermination, more will and boy what an attitude he must have had! The result?A gold medal in the Olympics and a perfect example for all us who think that wecannot overcome any obstacle we find in our way.
Thesecond most important lesson? Never give up, set your goal, give your heartinto it, work hard and you can achieve anything. It’s not what happens to you,it’s what you do with what happens to you that determines your success, orfailure.
