Kellogg's choosing the right Social Media for their new Special K  Campaign

Choosing the right Social Media to connect with customers and prospects is always an important factor when launching a promotion campaign. 

Like mentioned before in the article "Social Media:Which one do I choose?" there are some basic steps to follow. 

Kellogg's recently launched its new Special K recipe in Sweden. They chose Instagram   to connect with people because they saw that it was very popular amongst their target audience in Sweden. 

The campaign was simple. All people had to do is to post a photo of Special K on Instagram followed by the hash-tag #nyaspecialk (which means #newspecialk). present the photo on a special pop-up shop and receive a free pack of Special K's.

Kellogg's got it right by identifying the right Social Media platform to use to reach their target market and at the same time create buzz around the new recipe. 

It is always important to make a good survey within your audience on their Social Media preferences and the way they use them before you start developing a campaign. Especially when you try to reach people in different geographical areas.
